Description
Poterie — pottery in French — opens onto one of humanity's oldest forms of making. Pilar Olivero's photograph gathers terracotta jars and vessels of varied shapes, stacked under a shaded awning: an outdoor pottery market or workshop where clay and hand still speak first. The palette recalls Moroccan pottery heritage — Fez cobalt, Safi polychrome, Amazigh Rif earthenware — because the image is about touch before geography, form before name.
On dark brown oversized 260g cotton, the warm terracotta still life sits in brown-on-terracotta harmony, screen-printed through katagami and finished with hand embroidery in Paris. Pilar's 35mm archive becomes surface; notebook fragments in French, Arabic, and Spanish join the composition. Three creators from Argentina, Chile, and Morocco work the image, matter, and gesture together — an artisanal process where the weight of cotton meets the weight of clay, and each vessel on the shirt echoes a vessel once thrown by hand.
To wear Poterie is to wear the origin story of craft: shapes made to hold, shapes made to endure. You move through the world as someone who remembers that everything useful began in someone's hands — porous borders between cultures, like glaze between earth and air. The tee becomes a quiet manifesto for making as meeting.
