TANDEM T-SHIRT

Two vintage armchairs — upholstered in orange-brown fabric — sit side by side on a stone patio, a lush green hedge rising behind them. Symmetric, paired, waiting. Pilar Olivero framed them in her 35mm analog archive as partners in stillness: tandem objects that speak of conversation without requiring a body in either seat. The photograph is about being together — two chairs facing the same light, two presences held in one frame. It echoes the three-creator collaboration that built Aslona itself: Argentine, Chilean, and Moroccan makers working as one from Paris.

Katagami stencils reproduce the image at two scales on oversized cream cotton — small upper-left, large lower-center — mirroring the dual chairs in the photograph. Dark thread embroiders the border of the larger print by hand; trilingual screenprinted text from Pilar's notebooks layers French, Arabic, and Spanish beneath the image. Argentine, Chilean, and Moroccan makers shaped this 260g cotton tee as cross-cultural dialogue made wearable — the border between photograph and garment dissolved in the making.

Tandem on the body means synchronized presence. Cream cotton carries both chairs against your chest — partnership without forced symmetry, dialogue held in fabric. You wear the space between two seats, the conversation that happens when cultures sit beside each other in stillness.
